Massamatic (Pty) Ltd was established in 1978. Today Massamatic is the largest independent manufacturer of industrial weighing equipment in the Western Cape and supplies its products and services to industry and agriculture nationwide. Massamatic’s head office and principal manufacturing facilities are based in Parow, Cape Town in the Western Cape and have branches in Uitenhage and Alberton.
Massamatic’s products are also sold and serviced throughout South Africa by means of a nationwide network of dealers.
All products that carry the Massamatic brand name are wholly designed and manufactured in South Africa. Because our products are locally designed and manufactured, they are tailor-made to suit local conditions and enjoy outstanding after-sales support. Our product designs are stable and flexible and enjoy a long market life. Spares and services are readily available and are reasonably priced. All weighing equipment is designed to the highest international standards and complies with local metrology laws where required.
BBBEE Accreditation
Massamatic endeavours to comply with all requirements as set by the government. We have a current Level 2 BEE Certificate for all three the branches. Giving a 125% BBBEE procurement recognition level.

Products designed and manufactured by Massamatic include:

To support our products in the field, Massamatic can provide certified test weights, specialized transport equipped with lifting gear, and trained technicians or verification officers, to test and verify weighbridges and other systems in accordance with SANS LMP-045 requirements. A comprehensive service or maintenance contract, tailored to suit the customer’s specific needs, can be provided for any weighing system. This service is backed up by our mechanical and electrical workshops which are well equipped with tools and spare parts.
Massamatic provides after-sales support through the services of skilled factory-trained technicians who are supported by field and workshop repair facilities that rank as among the best in the industry. By ensuring that adequate stocks of spare parts and tools are always available to accomplish on-site or workshop repairs, we are able to minimise the impact of costly downtime and ensure that our customer’s equipment is maintained at peak operational efficiency. As a SANAS accredited Verification and Repair laboratory, our trained verification officers and testing facilities are able to test and certify customers’ scales to ensure peak performance and compliance with the legal requirements of exiting trade metrology legislation. SANAS Verification Laboratory Accreditation
Massamatic has SANAS Accreditation for a wide range of Verification work currently covered by the Legal Metrology Act, Act 9 of 2014. We have successfully maintained our status since 1995.
Our current scope covers a range from 1kg and exceeding 200t -our scope has an unlimited range. This includes Analog scales, Digital scales, Road and rail weighbridges, Hopper scales, Automatic hopper scales and also Beltweigers.
SANAS Repair Laboratory Accreditation
Massamatic has SANAS Accreditation for a wide range of Repair work currently covered by the Legal Metrology Act, Act 9 of 2014. We have successfully maintained our status since 2020.
